Our Story

Adaptive Cultures was born in 2016 as a collaboration between Andrew Brown and Alison Cameron. 

Work in leadership and culture, both inside organisations and as external consultants, led Alison and Andrew to become increasingly disappointed by the prevailing “one size fits all” approach to culture change. 

Developing their insights with research, application in organisational culture work, numerous interviews with leaders of organisations, and frequent philosophical discussions, Andrew and Alison co-authored the ground-breaking whitepaper “Developing Adaptive Organisation Through Leadership & Culture”. They created Adaptive Cultures with a purpose to enable individuals, collectives, and communities to live their highest potentials, making a positive and deeply humane contribution to their spheres of influence. 

Today, we continue to evolve, with our purpose being brought to life by a growing global group of passionate stakeholders, practitioners, and community, and some extraordinarily courageous clients who we have been so proud to partner with. 

To enable this ongoing expansion and to embrace the opportunity to more deeply influence cultural evolution across the planet, Adaptive Cultures are very excited that we will be welcoming a growing group of directors and unit holders who are taking the organisation forward commencing from 2022.
